Location: Although not difficult to reach, one of the charms of Bahia Marina is "you have to be lost to find us" both by land and sea. Located approximately a mile and a half (as the crow flies) from the former Naval Station Ingleside, the marina is found near a growing and thriving economic area, but is not in a high-traffic area. The city of Ingleside On The Bay, incorporated in 1991, finds the marina within its city limits (the city's first council meetings were held in the marina's former restaurant). Downtown Ingleside is 3 miles from Ingleside on The Bay, Aransas Pass 7 miles, Portland 17 miles and Corpus Christi 20 miles. By water, the marina is centrally located between the City of Corpus Christi and the jetties at Port Aransas. Both are approximately 10 miles from the marina by boat.
Bahia Marina and Ingleside on the Bay are the most unique places on the Texas coast. The marina is in a location ripe for development, only a couple of miles from a planned golf course residential development called Live Oak Preserve.
