Bahia Marina

Parking at the marina is ample and 70% of the slips have parking right in front of them. The remaining slips only have short distances to the parking areas.

On premises management is one advantage of Bahia Marina. Keith and Carol Regnier make their home in apartment B of the apartment complex. The phone rings at the apartment and the store, so there is almost always a way to be contacted in case of emergencies.

Pfromer Construction Specialties is located under the Regniers' house. Justin Pfromer is a skilled carpenter, cabinet maker and sailor. He is as comfortable working on the interior of a boat as he is working on a home. The marina management feels very fortunate having his shop on premises. Justin can be reached by phone at 361-776-0862.

Other Marina Features:

A five-unit apartment complex is also found at the marina. Attractive and spacious, there are four 2-bedroom, 1 1/2-bath units and one 1-bedroom 1-bath unit. Bedrooms are downstairs, and the vaulted ceiling living areas are upstairs, taking advantage of the view of and from the marina. Lease rates run $850.00 per month for the two bedrooms and $650.00 per month for the one bedroom (tenants pay electricity and cable).

The Docks Store is here to provide convenient cold drinks, ice, snacks, a phone and a pleasant spot to "hang out," watch ball games or just visit. The outdoor covered pavilion is a great spot to look out over the "lovely little cove" (as it is touted by the Bahia locals). The marina office is also in the store and channel 16 on the VHF is monitored (switching to channel 68 after hailing). Hours are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Wednesday when the store is closed. Due to EPA regulations, the Docks Store no longer sells fuel, and the underground storage tanks have been filled in (in accordance with Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission guidelines). This has not presented a problem to marina tenants who generally fill up when visiting Aransas Pass, Corpus Christi, or Port Aransas.

The slab of the former restaurant building is used now for parties and "get-togethers" by marina tenants. Occasionally, bands are hired for marina events, and play from the "Bahia Marina Old Concrete Slab Theater."

New laundry facilities are located next to the "Concrete Slab" for boaters, and there is another facility available for the apartment tenants at one end of the apartment complex. Shower and restroom facilities are available and have been updated recently, although there is no pump-out station. (The city of Ingleside on the Bay has completed a sewer system to the community. Now that the marina has a sewer system, a pump-out station is planned.)

Included in the purchase of the marina is an adjacent residential bulkheaded lot on the canal (approximately 100'x100').
